The health and social welfare department in the Abyei Administrative Area received three tons of drugs from Save the Children International with support from the EU ECHO program.
The acting director general told Abyei FM on Thursday 16th March 2023. Mr. Anter John said the drugs consignment received two weeks ago would cover six months. It includes anti-malarial, antibiotics for allergies, pneumonia medicines, and eye drops.
In a related story, the national ministry of health dispatched a cargo of 20 cartons of malaria drugs both tablets and injections. The drugs were received by the health department on Tuesday 14th March 2023.
Mr. Anter John said that medicines would be distributed to different healthcare centers in the area. He said they have a plenty of medicines right now.
