Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-in-Opposition (SPLM-IO) has appointed Amin Kiir Dhel last week to the parliament representing Abyei Administrative Area.
The area SPLM IO youth league chairperson, Elijah Chol in a post on Facebook congratulated Amin Kiir and wished him success in his new assignment.
Kiir’s appointment came after his predecessor Jok Alor left the party late last year.
He attributed his resignation to organizational differences and lack of a clear vision from the party regarding the Abyei issue.
Amin Kiir is the party’s secretary general in Abyei Administrative Area.
