A translator working for the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei has called on the government of Abyei Administrative Area to provide health services to remote villages in Mijak county.

Chol Mijak Biong described the condition of children and pregnant mothers in Mabek and Tajalei villages as very bad for they walked on foot to seek treatment in Abyei Town.

He said patients of older ages could receive medications and health care services at the mission’s clinic in Tajalei.

In response, Chief Administrator says that his administration is working hard to find replacement for clinical officer who deserted his position in Tajalei.

Hon. Kuol Deim Kuol said that Mabek clinic is functional and has recently received medical supplies.

These conversations took place on Abyei FM WhatsApp group on Saturday 13th August 2022.
