Head of education inaugurates intensive English language course for Primary school teachers

The director general of education department said that intensive English language course for primary school teachers will be inaugurated by caretaker head of education information, culture, youth and sports on Thursday 11th August 2022. The program is supported and facilitated by Windle Trust International.

It aims at improving English language subject. John Ajeng Kiir described it as professional training on lesson preparation, class management, modern teaching methods, and role of headteachers and specialized committees in learning process.

One hundred and sixty (160) teachers from public and private schools are expected to join the training. Lessons start at 2pm throughout the weekdays. However, some teachers at Mulmul primary school suggested to shift lessons to weekends. They said this would allow them to teach pupils enrolled in the afternoon classes.
