More than thirty homeless children receive non-food items

36 street children in Abyei Administrative Area have received non-food items from International Organization for Migration on Thursday.

The items distributed include blankets, clothes, three plastic sheets, three solar lamps and 20 mosquito nets provided by health department.

Speaking to Abyei FM the caretaker head of health administration said that children had been sheltered at area’s administration headquarters in Rum-ajak.

Dr. Ayom Korchiek Ayom said that children were facing feeding challenges. He said that the number of street children has recently increased to 51 most of them are from neighboring States. 

Ayom mentioned that they are working to reunite these children with their families. He said that IOM will support street children through their families.
