More than 100 displaced families move to Nyinkuac in Abyei Town

More than 100 families of displaced persons have relocated to Nyinkuac in Abyei town in Abyei Administrative Area.

The displaced people moved to the new location on Thursday.

Large never of those who fled fighting in Agok, Amiet, Dokora and Noong were living I Comboni primary school and Martyrs Square in Abyei Town.

One of the displaced persons, chief Kaya Koang said that the displaced families have received plastic sheets and were relocated to a new area.

Kay said that the remaining number will be relocated in the coming days after they get the tarpaulins.

Nyadak Pal, one of the displaced women, said that she got plastic shert and that she is in the process of making arrangements to leave Comboni Abyei Primary school.

Nyadak appealed to the government and organizations to provide drinking water and sanitation facilities.

The attacks in the northern and southern Abyei killed dozens and displaced large number of people.
