The Bishop of Episcopal Church in Abyei Administrative Area has returned to Abyei from Australia.
Michael Deng Kutpiny arrived in the area on Saturday after a visit to abroad. Bishop Kutpiny met some members of Abyei community in diaspora and explained to them the situation of the people and the church in the area.
Speaking to Abyei FM on Monday, Bishop Kutpiny said he spent five months there with an aim of meeting community leaders and church there. He described the visit he had as fruitful.
Bishop Michael Deng Kutpiny said he returned to Abyei to implement the church’s projects in the area for example the building of an orphanage supported by Samaritan’s Purse. He also said the church has got support for construction of secondary school from Humanitarian Aid for Relief Trust, a US based organization.
