Agok community police station under renovation

The renovation of community police station in Agok in Abyei Administrative Area began on Monday. A truck loaded with building materials arrived in the area this week.

The Director of Community Police in Agok, Anyiel Agon says the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei has contracted a company to renovate the facility. He says the renovation includes the public prosecutor’s office, traffic police office, criminal investigation department office and latrines.

Agon also says the fence will also be rebuilt. He expects that the renovation of the station will be completed after two months. The station was built between 2005 and 2006.
