Rumamer authorities receive over 10 cows raided in June

The authorities of Rumamer of Abyei Administrative Area received 13 from 37 cows which were raided by raiders from unity state in June 2021.

Rumamer Commissioner, Chol Pur Chol told Abyei FM on Friday. He said the cows were returned after the chief administrator of Abyei talked the governor of unity state. The commissioner said the cows were handed to the Executive Director of Rumamer county, Diing Ngor Chol by the Executive Director of Mayom county, Chuol Gatluak. He added out of 13 cows two died and the number of cows given to the owner is 11. Chol said, Mayom authorities assured the commissioner of Rumamer that they are going to return the remaining cows.

Mathok Juac, the owner of the raided cows expressed happiness and urged Unity state authorities to cooperate with authorities from Abyei Administrative Area.
