Community police have found a newly born baby dumped in Agok in Abyei Administrative Area. The less than one-month baby boy was found on Wednesday evening in Juol-jok area.

The police picked and took it to MSF hospital for care. The mother and her whereabouts is not known.

Community Police Director in Rumamer County, Anyiel Agon Arop says the baby is in good health. He has appealed to people to identify anyone suspected of being the mother of the infant.

This is the third of its kind in Abyei this year.

Some people have attributed the cause of this growing issue to economic hardship and moral decay.
