MSF celebrates 50 years of humanitarian mission

MSF in Agok of Abyei Administrative Area is celebrating 50 years of its mission on Saturday 27 November 2021.

The day will be marked with football match (MSF medical team and MSF logistics team) and volleyball match (community v MSF) in the morning and speeches in the afternoon.

The occasion will be held at Rumamer headquarter (Mudiria) from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Founded in 1971 in Paris by a group of journalists and doctors, MSF provides medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare.

They do so irrespective of race, religion, creed, or political convictions.

MSF started its mission in South Sudan in 1983 and in Abyei (Agok) in 2008 where it provided and continues rendering medical humanitarian assistance to save lives and ease suffering of people in crisis.

Operating in 88 countries around the world, MSF runs 9.9 million outpatient consultations, treated 2.69 million cases of malaria, and admitted 877,300 patients.
