Peace and trauma healing workshop concludes in Wau with call to promote peaceful coexistence

The Bishop of the Episcopal Church in Wau in Western Bahr el Ghazal has stressed the need to promote peace in Abyei Administrative Area.

Bishop Moses Deng Bol spoke as during the closure a five-day workshop on peace and trauma healing on Friday in Wau. He told the attendants to continue spreading peace among their communities and to raise awareness about trauma.

The workshop drew over sixty participants including Christians, Muslims, and community elders from Abyei Administrative Area and other areas.

It was organized by Episcopal Church of South Sudan with support from an international humanitarian organization called Green String Network.

Pastor Santino Aleu Madut who attended the event says they will be passing the messages through church preaching and ensure they are heard.

The group from Abyei are expected to return next week.
