Emergency Preparedness Manager of the national Health Ministry Dr. Matthew Tut has said COVID-19 tests results will be used by those who want to leave Juba.
The results paper replaces COVID-19 a certificate that was being issued after undergoing test for the virus. The certificate issuing was cancelled following concerns that it was being faked.
Dr. Tut told the press on Sunday. He also said South Sudan has seven polymerase Chain Reaction machines for COVID-19 testing.
One will be stationed in Wau in Western Bahr el Ghazal and a mobile laboratory will be working in Nimule. Five will be used in Public Health Laboratory in Juba. The doctor says the machine can run the sample within an hour.
As of Sunday, confirmed cases of Coronavirus in South Sudan hit 1,755 out of whom, 30 have died and 58 have recovered.
