South Sudan extends lockdown

The High-level Task Force on COVID-19 has extended restrictions to control the spread of Coronavirus until further notice. The task force headed by President Salva Kiir met on Tuesday and resolved extension of the lockdown.

Last month, South Sudan closed its borders, airports, schools and stopped public gatherings. A week ago, the task force cancelled inter-state movements including domestic flights.

South Sudan has four confirmed cases of Coronavirus but no deaths. According to media reports, less than hundred people in South Sudan have been tested of COVID-19.
